The leader of HNL intensified repressions against the people

For a few days the HNL dictatorial leader Mr. Murad was in Ottawa and Toronto for GTP conferences. I am really puzzled, confused and disenchanted why unleader type individual travels 11371.2 kilometers precise for nothing. He answered one question; the same question asked for the last 20 years and gave the same answer as many times that the water for Harar is still climbing mount Dangago.  Could have been much easier to flatten the damn mountain than forcing the water to climb up, it is not funny at all and disgusting. People who send him to these important GTP conferences should be ashamed and must revise their selections criteria for next time.  Please send honest, dissent, respectable and genuine leaders for such important events.

Allow me to come back to the main point; after Mr. Murad arrived from GTP conferences from Canada to Harar, he has taken repressive steps to silence the grieving public.

  1. The HNL leader cancelled peaceful demonstrations planned for Tuesday April 19, 2011. The focus of the demo was to demand justice for the martyr and condemn the assassination by regime connected business gangsters.
  2. He disbanded people’s committee setup to organize peaceful demonstrations and to follow up the case of martyr Hashim Idris. He setup another repressive committee instead to control the public.
  3. The tyrant is hunting down and arresting pro justice demonstrations participants last week and cracking the populations very hard. The police spokesman (Murad Abdulahi) also issued stern warning to the public and playing with unfounded fears.
  4. Banned all public and peaceful gathering and meetings.
  5. Prevented independent media to come to Harar from Addis to prevent, control and hide the truth from the rest of Ethiopians.
  6. Agents of repressions disseminating divisive (ethnic) and freighting rumors to scare the people. Silencing the populations by injecting unnecessary fear.
  7. Worst of all, in North America, some employees of the embassies of the federal democratic government of Ethiopia who belong to HNL are instructed and engaged in subversive and simmer campaigns against concerned and disappointed Hararis in Diaspora. They are dividing and manipulating the community for personal self interests. The federal institutions should never be used as a cover and stifle and silence law abiding citizens. These types of unlawful activities need to be stopped immediately or else serious legal measures will be considered.

It is unacceptable and reprehensible these kinds of attacks and onslaughts must continue in Harar and outside Ethiopia again and again under the watchful eyes of everyone. I am concerned and angry some learned and educated members of Harari Diasporas also looking for excuses and providing cover and defending such, merciless, outlawed and brutal regimes. You, the Harari Diasporas, the supporters of HNL need to know that martyr Hashim Idris was murdered due to out of control corruptions, greed and embezzlements of government monies which are taking place for many years under this regime.

You also need to know that it is public knowledge that HNLites forced the martyr to abandon the May 2010 elections. Very hurtful and painful even to write about it but the truth must be told and the savage and cruel HNLites put enormous pressures and issued warning forcing the martyr to withdraw from the elections. Time will reveal the truth and the HNL people never want to see him around. Why then, you willing to support inhuman regime and become accessories to their crimes directed at defenseless people? Why decent and good people afraid to tell real things that happened in our region? Let me ask again, why people afraid the truth and hide the truth? Why Allah fearing people succumb to useless and lowlifes?

Standing for justice and for the right of our people is the right thing to do instead of conspiring with repressive regimes for this or that reasons. The educated and responsible Harari Diasporas must come out from the closet and behind the curtains and speak for the right of their people without reservations and ifs and buts. The least you could is not to lend your support or remain silent as usual in the face of severe human rights violations. Listen to the cry of your people and try to listen to your inner conscience and may Allah give you the wisdoms of seen things clearly so you can feel the pain of the weak and the defenseless.

The poor and the defenseless is wronged and violated by brutal leaders such as Regassa Murad the face of the same coin.  They did enormous damages to our communities and lowered the status and stature of once respected and great societies. Murad Regassa with their foot soldiers must go and transfer power to competent leaders.  The more they stay on power the damage continue to pile up and will destroy whatever hope left in the region.
